Ten years of TCR - It was TEN years ago today…
Saturday 28 March 2015, Sepang International Circuit: the first ever competition for TCR touring cars starts as a support series to the Malaysian Grand Prix.
What appears as a simple appendix to the second round of the Formula One season is the beginning of one of the most successful business cases in motorsport history that would reshape touring car category on a global scale.
For the record, Stefano Comini won that very first race of the TCR International Series at the wheel of a CUPRA on his way to be crowned champion at the end of the year, while the day after Jordi Gené won Race 2 also in a CUPRA.
Ten years after, TCR is still ruling the world with over thirty active sanctioned series at international, regional and national levels, including the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour that is the peak of the pyramid.
The 'TCR10' logo will be included in all documents and graphic assets throughout the year.
