- The Volkswagen Golf GTI wins on debut at Red Bull Ring

2016

- Three more brands join: Alfa Romeo, Peugeot and Opel

- TCR is F1 support series in Bahrain and Singapore

- Launch of TCR Germany

- Launch of TCR Italy

- Launch of TCR Russia

- Launch of TCR Spain

- Launch of TCR Thailand

2017

- Audi Sport markets the RS 3 LMS TCR

- The Hyundai i30 N TCR makes a winning debut in China

- TCR Germany’s grid grows to 40+ cars

- Launch of TCR China

- TCR International races at Rustavi in Georgia

- TCR class introduced in the ADAC 24H Nürburgring
