The Kumho FIA TCR World Tour will kick off in Misano
It will be the iconic Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, nearby Italy’s Adriatic Riviera, to host the season opener of the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour on May 8/10; the event will mark the first time a world touring car series visits the racetrack.
Located just a few kilometres from the Adriatic Sea and surrounded by the vibrant atmosphere of the Romagna coast, Misano is one of Italy’s most renowned motorsport destinations. The 4.2-kilometre circuit is well known to touring car fans, being a regular venue for TCR Italy; it also hosted a round of TCR Europe last season. However, the 2026 event will represent a milestone, as the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour will be making its long-awaited debut at the circuit.
With its flowing layout, long straights and technical braking zones, the track is perfectly suited to deliver the intense wheel-to-wheel racing that is trademark of TCR competition. The circuit also boasts state-of-the-art facilities and passionate motorsport culture that makes the area a favourite destination for fans and teams alike.
